This year marks an important milestone for Michelle Lesur as she celebrates 15 years of dedication and contribution to Andermatt Madumbi, a journey defined by commitment, capability, and visionary leadership.

Michelle’s connection with the business began before she joined full-time. Her first experience with Madumbi was as a consultant, where her expertise and commitment quickly became clear. In 2010, she joined the company permanently as part of a small founding team playing a pivotal role in establishing the organisation’s early foundations.

From the very beginning, Michelle brought structure, clarity, and strategic insight to the business. She led the development of strong finance and administration processes while also contributing valuable human resources expertise, ensuring that people and performance grew hand in hand as the company evolved.

In recognition of her dedication, skill, and impact, Michelle was appointed CEO in 2020. Since stepping into the role, she has flourished as a visionary leader, guiding the company through periods of challenge with resilience, clarity, and determination. Under her leadership, Andermatt Madumbi has strengthened its position as a trusted provider of biological solutions, serving South Africa and expanding its reach to neighbouring countries, reflecting both the strength of the business and the confidence placed in her leadership.

Central to Michelle’s leadership philosophy is her belief that sustainable success is built by capable, motivated people. She fosters a culture of collaboration, trust, and shared purpose, and as one of the first woman CEOs appointed within the Andermatt Group, she actively champions the advancement of women across the Andermatt Group.

Beyond the business, Michelle contributes to the broader biologicals industry as a Board member of the South African Bioproducts Organisation (SABO). With roots in farming, she brings a strong customer perspective grounded in a deep understanding of farmers’ and growers’ needs, while remaining firmly family‑oriented alongside her professional achievements.
