Bioinsecticide Eco-Bb® (Reg No. L8469) is a key product within the Andermatt Madumbi product range, its application and use is steadily increasing in grower IPM programs across the country on a wide variety of crops.

We are delighted to confirm that label extensions have been approved and Eco-Bb® is now registered for use to suppress:

– Mealybug on pome fruit (apples, pears), citrus and grapes
– Red spider mite on stone fruit (peaches, plums, nectarines, cherries)

Eco-Bb® uses the entomopathogenic fungus, Beauveria bassiana strain R44, in a wettable powder formulation, to infect and kill various agricultural insect and mite pests. It is non-toxic, residue free and may be used right up to harvest.”

The higher rate is preferred on large trees, high spray volume application or when pest severity is high. Apply at an early stage of infestation to optimize efficacy. Ensure coverage of lower leaf surface. Repeat application every 7-14 days if necessary.

In severe cases repeat application until the pest is no longer present, or use in an IPM programme.   The higher rate is preferred on large trees, for high spray volume application or when pest severity is high.
